I hope everyone is having a good week and getting all of their Christmas shopping and cards all done. I have only about 15 more Christmas cards to go. I really should get an earlier start on these cards, but I usually can't bring myself to do Christmas cards in the spring or summer. And if I don't get them finished up, well I say Hallmark to the rescue.
If any of you live in the Colorado Springs area, I've been given the go ahead to begin teaching Copic Classes this spring and summer at the LSS. I'm going to start with basic classes and then add more intermediate and advanced technique classes as the year progresses. It should be a fun adventure and one I'm looking forward to.
In between writing up the course descriptions, course manual and pulling material together, I'm getting some Christmas (and non-Christmas when I'm tired of Christmas) cards completed.
Isn't he just the coolest Steampunk Santa? He's from Make it Crafty and is one of their new Christmas images. I had a great time trying to figure out different colors and techniques for a snowy night sky. I think it turned out pretty well, but there is always room for improvement. Not a whole lot of room for many embellies due to the size of the image. I used papers from Echo Park called Winter Park. The sentiment and die cut is from MFT and the chipboard snowflake from MIC was done in white embossing powder.
Of course he was colored up with copics with a bit of polychromos tossed in for some deeper shading. His watch and glasses received some glossy accents.
Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone has an enjoyable rest of their week.
